Planets are round objects, or spheres, that orbit the sun.
There are two types of planets: primary planets, of which there are eight, and dwarf planets.
The first four planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars are rocky planets, while the last four, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are gas planets.
