Using the Past Progressive Tense
Learning Objective
I can form and use the past progressive verb tense in sentences.
Key Concepts
The past progressive tense describes an event that was in progress at some point in the past.
The structure of the past progressive is: subject + past form of 'to be'+ verb + -ing.
Use the past progressive to focus on the duration of time of an event, not on the completion of the event.
