Solving Inequalities
Learning Objective
I can solve one- and two-step inequalities and represent the solutions on a number line.
Key Concepts
When solving inequalities, if you multiply or divide by a negative number, you must reverse the inequality symbol.
The solution to an inequality can be expressed as an inequality, a graph on a number line, and using interval notation.
When using interval notation, we use a square bracket if the value is included in the interval and a rounded parenthesis if the value is not included in the interval.
