Dividing Bigger Numbers
Learning Objective
I can divide two-digit numbers by one-digit numbers using strategies based on place value.
Key Concepts
Long division is a method to tackle any division problem while just knowing your multiplication tables up to maybe 10 times 10 or 12 times 12.
When performing long division, after subtracting, you bring down the next number and determine how many times the divisor goes into the new number to continue the process.
When there are no more numbers to bring down, the number left over after the final subtraction is the remainder.
