Chemical Versus Physical Changes
Learning Objective
I can differentiate between chemical and physical changes.
Key Concepts
In physical changes, the appearance of a substance changes, but the substance itself does not change.
In chemical changes, the particles of substances rearrange to form a new substance, which can be indicated by a color change, release of smell or light, or release of gas.
