August Character for First Graders

1. Name one character from a book you have read or that has been read to you. Is the character a person, an animal, or a thing?

2. Think about a character in a story. Describe one way the character felt in the beginning of the story. How did that feeling change by the end?

3. In the video, the narrator mentions that characters "act." What does it mean for a character to "act" in a story? Give an example of a character acting in a story you know.
