Boxing Basics Rules and Safety
Learning Objective
I can describe the basic rules and safety precautions of boxing.
Key Concepts
When sparring, it is important to exhale when throwing punches to save energy and punch faster and harder.
When your sparring partner is hitting you too much with one punch, focus on defending that punch, then add counter punches.
To improve, record your sparring sessions, watch them back, identify mistakes, and concentrate on correcting one mistake at a time during heavy bag work to develop better habits.
