Finding the Complete Predicate
Learning Objective
I can identify the complete predicate in a sentence.
Key Concepts
In sentences where the predicate comes before the subject, like "In the tree sat two ravens," the complete subject is two ravens and the simple predicate is sat.
In a question like "Did you complete your homework?" the complete subject is you, and the simple predicate is did complete, split around the subject.
In a command such as "Go sit down," the subject is you, but it is implied rather than explicitly written, and the predicate is go sit down.
