Plotting Points on the Coordinate Plane
Learning Objective
I can plot points on a coordinate plane using ordered pairs.
Key Concepts
The coordinate plane is a 2-Dimensional version of a number line and is the platform our graphing will take place on.
Coordinates, also known as ordered pairs, are written in parentheses, (X, Y), and use two numbers to specify the location of a point on the coordinate plane.
The coordinate plane is divided into four regions called quadrants, and the first quadrant contains points where both the X and Y values are positive.
