Solving Multistep Inequalities
Learning Objective
I can solve multi-step inequalities and graph the solution sets on a number line.
Key Concepts
When solving multi-step inequalities, remember that if you divide or multiply by a negative number, you must flip the inequality sign.
When solving inequalities with parentheses, use the distributive property to eliminate the parentheses, then combine like terms before isolating the variable.
When solving multi-step inequalities, special cases can occur where the solution is either no solution or all real numbers.
